North Carolina High School Football - Halifax Academy can't hold off Cary Christian

Cary Christian Knights (Cary, NC) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the host Halifax Academy Vikings (Roanoke Rapids, NC), 2-0 in a league battle.

With the win, Cary Christian advances its record to 7-0 on the season. The Knights travel to Faith Christian (Rocky Mount, NC) to confront the Patriots in a NCISAA 8-Man Freelance (8 Man) match on Friday, October 17. The Patriots come into the match with a record of 5-2. Faith Christian lost 47-34 in their recent league match against John Paul II Catholic (Greenville, NC)

Coming up next, the Vikings confront the Lawrence Academy Warriors (Merry Hill, NC) in a non-league battle, on Friday, October 10. Halifax Academy will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Warriors come into the match with a 5-2 record after their 60-30 non-league win over Wake Christian Academy (Raleigh, NC).
