Fairfield Indians (Fairfield, OH) boosters were happy Friday as they witnessed their football squad edge the visiting Mason Comets (Mason, OH), 14-13 in a league match.

The Indians (4-3) will now prepare for their match against Hamilton (Hamilton, OH). The Big Blue enter the Greater Miami match with a 1-6 record. In their last match, Hamilton was nudged by Princeton (Cincinnati, OH), 28-16, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Comets confront the Middletown Middies (Middletown, OH) in a Greater Miami match, on Friday, October 10. Mason will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Middies enter the match with a 6-1 record after their 27-6 league win over Lakota East (Liberty Township, OH).
