The Ansonia Chargers (Ansonia, CT) soccer overwhelmed the visiting Derby Red Raiders (Derby, CT), 8-0 in Friday's league challenge.

The Chargers now own a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Seymour for a Naugatuck Valley contest on Monday, October 6. Ansonia will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 5-1 league loss to Woodland Regional (Beacon Falls, CT). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-3.

The Red Raiders (0-7) will now prepare for their contest against Holy Cross (Waterbury, CT). The Crusaders enter the Naugatuck Valley challenge with a 7-3 record. In their last challenge, Holy Cross topped St. Paul Catholic (Bristol, CT), 3-1, in a league challenge.
