Dallas Mountaineers (Dallas, PA) boosters exited the stadium pleased Friday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the host Wyoming Valley West Spartans (Plymouth, PA), 3-1 in a league outing.

The Mountaineers (10-4) will now prepare for their outing against Pittston (Pittston, PA). The Patriots go into the Wyoming Valley 1 outing with a 8-6 record. In their last outing, Pittston got by Wilkes-Barre (Wilkes-Barre, PA), 2-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Spartans confront the Greater Nanticoke Area Trojans (Nanticoke, PA) in a Wyoming Valley 1 outing, on Tuesday, October 7. Wyoming Valley West will attempt to improve on its 9-4 season record. The Trojans go into the outing with a 1-12 record after their 5-0 league loss to Crestwood (Mountain Top, PA).
