In Friday's non-league match, the host North Rock Creek Cougars softball team scored a nice 13-1 win over the Vinita Hornets.
The Cougars (26-6) will now prepare for their match against Bethel (Shawnee, OK). The Wildcats come into the non-league match with a 19-5 record. In their last match, Bethel notched a victory over Davis (Davis, OK), 10-0, in a league match.
In their next game, the Hornets confront the Stigler Panthers (Stigler, OK) in a non-league match, on Friday, October 3. Vinita will attempt to upgrade on its 19-25 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 7-4 record after their 9-1 non-league win over Spiro (Spiro, OK).
