Fans at Friday's league contest between the Granada Hills Charter Highlanders (Granada Hills, CA) and the host Chatsworth Chancellors (Chatsworth, CA), observed Granada Hills Charter's volleyball team hold off Chatsworth by a count of 3-2.

The Highlanders (19-13) will now prepare for their contest against Cleveland (Reseda, CA). The Cavaliers go into the West Valley battle with a 17-14 record. In their last battle, Cleveland was edged by Taft (Woodland Hills, CA), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Chancellors now own a 18-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to El Camino Real for a West Valley contest on Monday, October 6. Chatsworth will meet a Royals team coming off a 3-0 league win over Birmingham (Lake Balboa, CA). The Royals record now stands at 18-12.
