Owego Free Academy River Hawks (Owego, NY) backers were pleased Friday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Chenango Forks Blue Devils (Binghamton, NY), 3-0 in a league challenge.

The River Hawks (9-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Chenango Valley (Binghamton, NY). The Warriors come into the Section 4 Southern Tier challenge with a 0-1 record.

Next, the Blue Devils meet the Oneonta Yellowjackets (Oneonta, NY) in a Section 4 Southern Tier test, on Tuesday, October 7. Chenango Forks will attempt to advance on its 0-3 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the test with a 2-3 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Fort Edward (Fort Edward, NY).
