Fans at Friday's league contest between the Lawndale Cardinals (Lawndale, CA) and the visiting Leuzinger Olympians (Lawndale, CA), observed Lawndale's volleyball team top Leuzinger by a count of 3-1.
The Cardinals (7-6) will now prepare for their battle against Hawthorne (Hawthorne, CA). The Cougars go into the Ocean battle with a 1-13 record.
The Olympians now own a 3-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Centennial for a Ocean contest on Wednesday, October 8.
