Walnut Grove Wildcats (Prosper, TX) boosters left the game thrilled Friday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Melissa Cardinals (Melissa, TX), 3-1 in a league test.

With the win, Walnut Grove improves its record to 26-7 on the season. The Wildcats host Denison (Denison, TX) to encounter the Yellow Jackets in a 5A Region II District 9 test on Tuesday, October 7. The Yellow Jackets enter the challenge with a record of 13-18.

Next, the Cardinals meet the Greenville Lions (Greenville, TX) in a 5A Region II District 9 challenge, on Tuesday, October 7. Melissa will attempt to upgrade on its 17-15 season record. The Lions enter the challenge with a 13-17 record after their 3-0 league loss to McKinney North (McKinney, TX).
