Rogers Vikings (Newport, RI) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they saw their volleyball team overcome the visiting Middletown Islanders (Middletown, RI), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Vikings (4-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Ponaganset (North Scituate, RI). The Chieftains come into the Division 3 challenge with a 4-0 record. In their last game, Ponaganset gained a win over Providence Country Day (East Providence, RI), 3-1, in a league game.

The Islanders (0-3) will now prepare for their game against St. Mary Academy-Bay View (East Providence, RI). The Bengals go into the Division 2 game with a 7-6 record.
