The Waco Lions volleyball squad (Waco, TX), was defeated 3-0 in Friday's league battle with the host University Trojans (Waco, TX)
The Trojans (10-20) will now prepare for their challenge against Lake Belton (Temple, TX). The Broncos enter the 5A Region II District 16 challenge with a 22-12 record. In their last challenge, Lake Belton beat Chaparral (Killeen, TX), 3-0, in a league challenge.
Next, the Lions meet the Belton Tigers (Belton, TX) in a 5A Region II District 16 test, on Tuesday, October 7. Waco will attempt to improve on its 3-18 season record. The Tigers go into the test with a 25-11 record after their 3-0 league win over Ellison (Killeen, TX).
