In Saturday's league battle, the visiting Mescalero Apache Chiefs volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Lordsburg Mavericks.
The Chiefs (12-9) will now prepare for their battle against Capitan (Capitan, NM). The Tigers come into the 2A District 3 battle with a 14-6 record. In their last battle, Capitan defeated Cloudcroft (Cloudcroft, NM), 3-1, in a league battle.
Next, the Mavericks encounter the Cloudcroft Bears (Cloudcroft, NM) in a 2A District 3 battle, on Tuesday, November 2. Lordsburg will attempt to move on its 6-14 season record. The Bears come into the battle with a 11-10 record after their 3-1 league loss to Capitan (Capitan, NM).
