Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) backers exited the stadium pleased Wednesday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC), 3-1 in a league test.

With the triumph, Watauga advances its record to 15-3 on the campaign. The Pioneers host Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC) to clash with the Huskies in a Northwestern 3A/4A test on Thursday, October 31. The Huskies come into the test with a record of 11-7. Ashe County won 2-0 in their recent league test against Hibriten (Lenoir, NC)

The Cougars now have a 11-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ashe County for a Northwestern 3A/4A test on Monday, November 4. Alexander Central will clash with a Huskies team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Watauga (Boone, NC). The Huskies record now stands at 11-8.
