Fans at Wednesday's league battle between the C.B. Aycock Golden Falcons (Pikeville, NC) and the visiting Southern Wayne Saints (Dudley, NC), saw C.B. Aycock's soccer squad knock off Southern Wayne by a score of 3-1.

The Golden Falcons (18-4) will now prepare for their battle against West Johnston (Benson, NC). The Wildcats go into the Quad County 3A challenge with a 12-9 record. In their last challenge, West Johnston nudged South Johnston (Four Oaks, NC), 5-0, in a league challenge.

With the loss, Southern Wayne moves to 5-15 on the year. The Saints travel to Smithfield-Selma (Smithfield, NC) to encounter the Spartans in a Quad County 3A challenge on Thursday, October 31. The Spartans go into the challenge with a record of 12-7. Smithfield-Selma lost 4-0 in their recent league challenge against C.B. Aycock (Pikeville, NC)
