South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) backers exited the stadium pleased Wednesday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the host Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC), 1-0 in a league test.

With the triumph, South Caldwell advances its record to 9-8 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Watauga (Boone, NC) to clash with the Pioneers in a Northwestern 3A/4A test on Monday, November 4. The Pioneers come into the test with a record of 16-3. Watauga won 3-1 in their recent league test against Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC)

The Patriots now have a 5-14 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hibriten for a Northwestern 3A/4A test on Monday, November 4. Freedom will clash with a Panthers team coming off a 2-0 league loss to Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 14-6.
