Next, the Pirates face the St. Pius X Sartans (Albuquerque, NM) in a 4A District 5 challenge, on Thursday, October 6. Grants will attempt to better on its 6-5 season record. The Sartans enter the challenge with a 8-4 record after their 5-1 non-league loss to Albuquerque Academy (Albuquerque, NM).

The Jaguars now have a 3-8 record. They take the field next when they host Highland for a 4A District 5 challenge on Thursday, October 6. Valencia will face a Hornets team coming off a 2-0 league loss to Belen (Belen, NM). The Hornets record now stands at 3-10.
