The Amherst County Lancers held off the host Jefferson Forest Cavaliers volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Lancers now have a 8-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Glass for a non-league test on Thursday, October 6. Amherst County will confront a Hilltoppers team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Liberty (Bedford, VA). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 3-6.

The Cavaliers (6-3) will now prepare for their test against Liberty Christian (Lynchburg, VA). The Bulldogs enter the non-league test with a 8-3 record. In their last test, Liberty Christian was nudged by Brookville (Lynchburg, VA), 2-0, in a non-league test.
