The Warriors (16-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Burns (Lawndale, NC). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 7-3 record. In their last challenge, Burns nudged Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Golden Lions encounter the Thomas Jefferson Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 6. Shelby will attempt to move on its 8-10 season record.
