The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the King William Cavaliers (King William, VA) and the host Mathews Blue Devils (Mathews, VA), saw King William's volleyball squad nip Mathews by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, King William upgrades its record to 3-2 on the year. The Cavaliers travel to King & Queen Central (King & Queen Court House, VA) to play the Royal Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, October 11. The Royal Tigers go into the bout with a record of 0-9.

The Blue Devils now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to West Point for a non-league bout on Thursday, October 6. Mathews will play a Pointers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over King & Queen Central (King & Queen Court House, VA). The Pointers record now stands at 2-1.
