The Laney Buccaneers volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting New Hanover Wildcats to 0 in the Buccaneers non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Buccaneers now have a 11-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Brunswick for a non-league game on Thursday, October 6. Laney will meet a Cougars team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Ashley (Wilmington, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 2-9.

The Wildcats (1-9) will now prepare for their game against Topsail (Hampstead, NC). The Pirates enter the non-league game with a 14-0 record. In their last game, Topsail gained a win over West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC), 2-0, in a non-league game.
