The Pender Patriots volleyball team (Burgaw, NC), was nudged 2-1 in Tuesday's non-league challenge with the host South Columbus Stallions (Tabor City, NC)

The Stallions (12-0) will now prepare for their challenge against West Columbus (Cerro Gordo, NC). The Vikings enter the non-league challenge with a 0-8 record. In their last challenge, West Columbus was nudged by Heide Trask (Rocky Point, NC), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Patriots meet the East Columbus Gators (Lake Waccamaw, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, October 11. Pender will attempt to move on its 12-5 season record. The Gators enter the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Heide Trask (Rocky Point, NC).
