The Valdosta Wildcats softball team scored 31 runs and limited the visiting Atkinson County Rebels to 30 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Valdosta moves its record to 9-13 on the year. The Wildcats host Turner County (Ashburn, GA) to clash with the Titans in a non-league game on Thursday, October 6. The Titans come into the game with a record of 3-16. Turner County lost 21-3 in their recent non-league game against Fitzgerald (Fitzgerald, GA)

In their next game, the Rebels clash with the Clinch County Panthers (Homerville, GA) in a 1A D-II Region 2 game, on Thursday, October 6. Atkinson County will attempt to move on its 3-19 season record. The Panthers come into the game with a 7-12 record after their 9-5 non-league loss to Montgomery County (Mt. Vernon, GA).
