Washington-Wilkes Tigers (Washington, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Georgia School for Innovation & Classics Patriots (Hephzibah, GA), 10-2 in a league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 9-10 record. They take the field next when they host Harlem for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, October 5. Washington-Wilkes will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 8-3 league win over Morgan County (Madison, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 21-3.

With the loss, Georgia School for Innovation & Classics falls to 1-11 on the campaign. The Patriots host Towns County (Hiawassee, GA) to battle the Indians in a 1A D-II Region 8 challenge on Thursday, October 6. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 1-11.
