The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) and the host Albemarle Bulldogs (Albemarle, NC), saw North Stanly's volleyball squad beat Albemarle by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, North Stanly upgrades its record to 11-7 on the year. The Comets host Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC) to play the Tigers in a Yadkin Valley 1A/2A bout on Thursday, October 6. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 11-8. Mount Pleasant won 3-2 in their recent non-league bout against West Stanly (Oakboro, NC)

The Bulldogs now own a 1-14 record. They play next when they host Union Academy for a Yadkin Valley 1A/2A bout on Thursday, October 6. Albemarle will play a Cardinals squad coming off a 3-0 league win over South Stanly (Norwood, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 17-3.
