South Dakota High School Volleyball - Burke over Avon

In Tuesday's league contest, the Burke Cougars (Burke, SD) volleyball squad were winner over the host Avon Pirates (Avon, SD), by a margin of 3-0.

Next up, the Cougars face the Corsica/Stickney Jaguars (Corsica, SD) in a B Region 6 contest, on Thursday, October 6. Burke will attempt to better on its 19-3 season record. The Jaguars go into the contest with a 5-15 record after their 3-1 league loss to Andes Central/Dakota Christian (Lake Andes, SD).

With the loss, Avon moves to 7-12 on the year. The Pirates host Bridgewater/Emery (Emery, SD) to face the Huskies in a non-league contest on Thursday, October 6. The Huskies go into the contest with a record of 5-10. Bridgewater/Emery lost 3-0 in their recent non-league contest against Ethan (Ethan, SD)
