In Tuesday's league battle, the visiting High Island Cardinals volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Leggett Pirates.
The Cardinals (4-15) will now prepare for their battle against Burkeville (Burkeville, TX). The Mustangs come into the 1A Region IV District 26 battle with a 0-2 record. In their last battle, Burkeville lost by Spurger (Spurger, TX), 3-1, in a league battle.
Next, the Pirates encounter the Chester Yellowjackets (Chester, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 26 battle, on Friday, October 7. Leggett will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the battle with a 25-10 record after their 3-1 league win over Goodrich (Goodrich, TX).
