The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Rockingham County Cougars (Wentworth, NC) and the host High Point Central Bison (High Point, NC), saw Rockingham County's volleyball squad beat High Point Central by a tally of 3-1.

With the win, Rockingham County upgrades its record to 14-3 on the year. The Cougars host Dudley (Greensboro, NC) to play the Panthers in a Mid-State 3A bout on Thursday, October 6. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 4-12. Dudley won 3-1 in their recent league bout against Northeast Guilford (McLeansville, NC)

The Bison now own a 9-8 record. They play next when they host Ben L. Smith for a Mid-State 3A bout on Thursday, October 6. High Point Central will play a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Southern Guilford (Greensboro, NC). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 6-7.
