With the win, Highland Park upgrades its record to 26-7 on the year. The Hornets host Portales (Portales, NM) to play the Rams in a non-league bout on Saturday, October 8. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 6-8. Portales lost 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Hobbs (Hobbs, NM)

The Comanches now own a 12-14 record. They play next when they host Memphis for a 2A Region I District 1 bout on Saturday, October 8. West Texas will play a Cyclones squad coming off a 3-2 league loss to Vega (Vega, TX). The Cyclones record now stands at 2-6.
