South Jefferson Spartans (Adams, NY) fans were thrilled Wednesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Immaculate Heart Central Cavaliers (Watertown, NY), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Spartans confront the Carthage Comets (Carthage, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, October 6. South Jefferson will attempt to better on its 3-5 season record. The Comets enter the challenge with a 1-8 record after their 8-0 league loss to Indian River (Philadelphia, NY).

The Cavaliers now have a 3-9 record. They take the field next when they host Lowville for a Frontier- Division B challenge on Friday, October 6.
