In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Essex Trojans football squad scored a close 28-24 victory over the Rappahannock Raiders.
In their next game, the Trojans clash with the Northumberland Indians (Heathsville, VA) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, October 11. Essex will attempt to move on its 4-0 season record.
The Raiders (0-6) will now prepare for their match against Colonial Beach (Colonial Beach, VA). The Drifters enter the non-league match with a 0-3 record. In their last match, Colonial Beach was nudged by Westmoreland (Montross, VA), 54-6, in a non-league match.
