In Wednesday's non-league battle, the host Watauga Pioneers soccer squad scored a close 6-0 triumph over the Ashe County Huskies.
The Pioneers (9-3) will now prepare for their battle against South Caldwell (Hudson, NC). The Spartans come into the non-league battle with a 8-2 record. In their last battle, South Caldwell was overwhelmed by Hibriten (Lenoir, NC), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
The Huskies (2-7) will now prepare for their battle against Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC). The Cougars come into the non-league battle with a 3-6 record. In their last battle, Alexander Central Freedom (Morganton, NC), 1-1, in a non-league battle.
