The Athens Wildcats held off the host Towanda Black Knights soccer squad by a margin of 2-1 in Wednesday's league match.
The Wildcats now sport a 6-6 record. They play next when they host Williamsport for a non-league match on Saturday, October 7. Athens will encounter a Millionaires squad coming off a 5-0 league win over Shamokin Area (Coal Township, PA). The Millionaires record now stands at 6-6.
With the loss, Towanda drops to 2-10 on the season. The Black knights travel to Troy (Troy, PA) to encounter the Trojans in a North Tier match on Wednesday, October 11. The Trojans come into the match with a record of 1-11.
