Valley Central Vikings (Montgomery, NY) fans were thrilled Wednesday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Monticello Panthers (Monticello, NY), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Vikings face the Cornwall Central Dragons (New Windsor, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, October 6. Valley Central will attempt to better on its 7-3 season record. The Dragons enter the challenge with a 7-1 record after their 2-2 league Goshen Central (Goshen, NY).

The Panthers now have a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Washingtonville for a Section 9 Division III challenge on Thursday, October 5. Monticello will face a Wizards team coming off a 7-1 league win over Minisink Valley (Slate Hill, NY). The Wizards record now stands at 3-4.
