In Wednesday's league battle, the visiting Pinecrest Patriots soccer squad scored a close 5-1 win over the Southern Lee Cavaliers.
The Patriots (10-3) will now prepare for their battle against Lee County (Sanford, NC). The Yellow Jackets go into the Sandhills 3A/4A battle with a 12-4 record. In their last battle, Lee County nipped Cape Fear (Fayetteville, NC), 1-0, in a non-league battle.
The Cavaliers (8-5) will now prepare for their battle against Hoke County (Raeford, NC). The Bucks go into the Sandhills 3A/4A battle with a 11-6 record. In their last battle, Hoke County nipped Richmond (Rockingham, NC), 3-1, in a league battle.
