The Union Pines Vikings soccer team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Scotland Fighting Scots to 1 in the Vikings league victory on Wednesday.
Next, the Vikings face the Richmond Raiders (Rockingham, NC) in a Sandhills 3A/4A contest, on Monday, October 9. Union Pines will attempt to better on its 4-11 season record. The Raiders enter the contest with a 7-7 record after their 3-1 league loss to Hoke County (Raeford, NC).
The Fighting Scots now have a 1-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pinecrest for a Sandhills 3A/4A contest on Wednesday, October 11.
