Westfield School Hornets (Perry, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Pinewood Christian Patriots (Bellville, GA), 8-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets now sport a 21-3 record. They take the field next when they host Strong Rock Christian for a GIAA 5AAA challenge on Thursday, October 5. Westfield School will face a Patriots squad coming off a 10-2 league win over Brookstone (Columbus, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 11-7.

With the loss, Pinewood Christian falls to 11-8 on the campaign. The Patriots host Tattnall Square Academy (Macon, GA) to face the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 5. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 18-7. Tattnall Square Academy won 10-6 in their recent league challenge against Stratford Academy (Macon, GA)
