The crowd at Wednesday's league match between the Toombs County Bulldogs (Lyons, GA) and the host Tattnall County Warriors (Reidsville, GA), saw Toombs County's softball squad nip Tattnall County by a count of 5-2.

The Bulldogs now sport a 13-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Brantley County for a 2A Region 3 match on Thursday, October 5. Toombs County will face a Herons squad coming off a 5-4 league loss to Tattnall County (Reidsville, GA). The Herons record now stands at 6-13.

With the loss, Tattnall County falls to 3-15 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Pierce County (Blackshear, GA) to face the Bears in a 2A Region 3 match on Thursday, October 5. The Bears enter the match with a record of 10-10. Pierce County lost 5-3 in their recent league match against Appling County (Baxley, GA)
