The Hobbton Wildcats football team (Newton Grove, NC), was topped 39-12 in Friday's league bout with the host Rosewood Eagles (Goldsboro, NC)

With the win, Rosewood advances its record to 4-3 on the season. The Eagles travel to Union (Rose Hill, NC) to encounter the Spartans in a Carolina 1A bout on Friday, October 11. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 0-6. Union lost 55-0 in their recent league bout against Lakewood (Roseboro, NC)

The Wildcats now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they host Pender for a non-league bout on Friday, October 11. Hobbton will encounter a Patriots team coming off a 44-12 league win over East Bladen (Elizabethtown, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 4-2.
