Fans at Friday's league battle between the Nonnewaug Chiefs (Woodbury, CT) and the host Lakeview Warriors (Litchfield, CT), saw Nonnewaug's soccer squad knock off Lakeview by a count of 3-1.

The Chiefs (6-6) will now prepare for their battle against Thomaston (Thomaston, CT). The Bears enter the Berkshire battle with a 10-0 record. In their last battle, Thomaston tipped Shepaug Valley (Washington, CT), 8-2, in a league battle.

Next up, the Warriors battle the Gilbert Yellowjackets (Winsted, CT) in a Berkshire battle, on Tuesday, October 8. Lakeview will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the battle with a 3-9 record after their 8-2 league loss to Terryville (Terryville, CT).
