Salem Witches (Salem, MA) followers left the game satisfied Friday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Winthrop Vikings (Winthrop, MA), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Salem advances its record to 2-3 on the season. The Witches host Swampscott (Swampscott, MA) to face the Big Blue in a non-league test on Wednesday, October 9. The Big Blue go into the test with a record of 4-1.

The Vikings now sport a 0-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Stoneham for a non-league contest on Monday, October 7. Winthrop will meet a Spartans team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Lexington (Lexington, MA). The Spartans record now stands at 0-5.
