Fans at Friday's league battle between the Mt. St. Joseph Academy Green Wave (Rutland, VT) and the host Long Trail (Dorset, VT), saw Mt. St. Joseph Academy's soccer squad hold off Long Trail by a count of 1-0.

The Green Wave (5-4) will now prepare for their battle against Sharon Academy (Sharon, VT). The Phoenix enter the SVL-D battle with a 2-6 record. In their last battle, Sharon Academy tipped Arlington Memorial (Arlington, VT), 2-1, in a league battle.
