Shepaug Valley Spartans (Washington, CT) backers exited the stadium pleased Friday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Thomaston Bears (Thomaston, CT), 6-1 in a league test.

With the triumph, Shepaug Valley advances its record to 10-1 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Housatonic-Lakeview (Falls Village, CT) to clash with the Mountaineers in a non-league test on Tuesday, October 8. The Mountaineers come into the test with a record of 0-2. Housatonic-Lakeview lost 1-0 in their recent non-league test against Nonnewaug (Woodbury, CT)

The Bears now have a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bristol Eastern for a non-league test on Saturday, October 5.
