Georgia High School Softball - Woodstock succumbs to Pope

In Friday's league test, the Pope Greyhounds (Marietta, GA) softball squad overwhelmed the host Woodstock Wolverines (Woodstock, GA), by a tally of 14-1.
Next, the Greyhounds clash with the Riverwood Raiders (Sandy Springs, GA) in a 5A Region 6 test, on Monday, October 7. Pope will attempt to advance on its 16-7 season record. The Raiders go into the test with a 10-12 record after their 12-1 league loss to Lassiter (Marietta, GA).
The Wolverines (12-14) will now prepare for their test against Creekview (Canton, GA). The Grizzlies go into the 5A Region 6 test with a 16-7 record. In their last test, Creekview prevailed over River Ridge (Woodstock, GA), 4-1, in a league test.
