Fans at Friday's league contest between the Howard Huskies (Macon, GA) and the visiting Luella Lions (Luella, GA), observed Howard's volleyball team top Luella by a count of 2-0.

The Huskies (5-14) will now prepare for their contest against Mary Persons (Forsyth, GA). The Bulldogs enter the 3A Area 1 contest with a 14-19 record. In their last contest, Mary Persons was knocked off by Lamar County (Barnesville, GA), 2-1, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Lions battle the West Laurens Raiders (Dexter, GA) in a 3A Area 1 contest, on Tuesday, October 8. Luella will attempt to move on its 4-13 season record. The Raiders enter the contest with a 22-12 record after their 2-0 league win over Peach County (Fort Valley, GA).
