Connecticut High School Football - Staples defeats Darien

In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Staples Wreckers football squad scored a good 31-6 victory over the Darien Blue Wave.

The Wreckers (4-0) will now prepare for their match against Wilton (Wilton, CT). The Warriors enter the non-league match with a 4-0 record. In their last match, Wilton overcame Ludlowe (Fairfield, CT), 35-23, in a league battle.

The Blue Wave now own a 3-1 record. They play next when they travel to Bridgeport Central for a Fairfield County - East battle on Saturday, October 11. Darien will play a Hilltoppers team coming off a 48-0 non-league loss to Trumbull (Trumbull, CT). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 1-3.
