Fans at Saturday's league battle between the La Salle Academy Rams (Providence, RI) and the host East Providence Townies (East Providence, RI), saw La Salle Academy's soccer squad prevail over East Providence by a count of 5-1.

The Rams (9-2) will now prepare for their battle against Barrington (Barrington, RI). The Eagles enter the Division 1 battle with a 8-1 record. In their last battle, Barrington tipped Dartmouth (South Dartmouth, MA), 4-3, in a non-league battle.

In their next game, the Townies meet the South Kingstown Rebels (Wakefield, RI) in a Division 1 match, on Tuesday, October 7. East Providence will attempt to move on its 9-1 season record. The Rebels come into the match with a 4-6 record after their 1-1 non-league Kellenberg Memorial (Uniondale, NY).
