The Albuquerque Academy Chargers volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Portales Rams to 2 in the Chargers non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Chargers now sport a 9-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Valley for a 4A District 6 match on Tuesday, October 7. Albuquerque Academy will confront a Vikings squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Pojoaque Valley (Pojoaque, NM). The Vikings record now stands at 8-7.

The Rams (10-4) will now prepare for their match against Roswell (Roswell, NM). The Coyotes enter the non-league match with a 2-12 record. In their last match, Roswell held off Gadsden (Anthony, NM), 3-1, in a non-league match.
