Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Santa Fe Trail Chargers (Carbondale, KS) and the visiting Baldwin Bulldogs (Baldwin, KS), observed Santa Fe Trail's volleyball team hold off Baldwin by a count of 2-1.

The Chargers (17-8) will now prepare for their contest against Wellsville (Wellsville, KS). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 10-9 record. In their last contest, Wellsville got by Santa Fe Trail (Carbondale, KS), 2-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Bulldogs battle the Eudora Cardinals (Eudora, KS) in a Frontier battle, on Tuesday, October 7. Baldwin will attempt to improve on its 5-14 season record. The Cardinals go into the battle with a 19-9 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Jefferson West (Meriden, KS).
