In Saturday's non-league battle, the Brewer Patriots (Somerville, AL) volleyball squad toppled the visiting Decatur Red Raiders (Decatur, AL), by a score of 2-0.

With the win, Brewer improves its record to 24-13 on the season. The Patriots travel to Huntsville (Huntsville, AL) to encounter the Panthers in a non-league battle on Saturday, October 4. The Panthers go into the battle with a record of 27-6. Huntsville won 2-0 in their recent non-league battle against James Clemens (Madison, AL)
