Fans at Saturday's league contest between the Dumas Demons (Dumas, TX) and the visiting Hereford Whitefaces (Hereford, TX), observed Dumas's volleyball team hold off Hereford by a count of 3-2.

The Demons (12-12) will now prepare for their contest against Perryton (Perryton, TX). The Rangers come into the 4A Region I District 4 challenge with a 8-19 record. In their last challenge, Perryton was nudged by Randall (Amarillo, TX), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Whitefaces meet the Canyon Eagles (Canyon, TX) in a 4A Region I District 4 challenge, on Tuesday, October 7. Hereford will attempt to improve on its 15-16 season record. The Eagles go into the test with a 16-14 record after their 3-0 league win over Pampa (Pampa, TX).
